Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Treasurer's Office is located on the first floor of the RTA Building at 109 South Washington Street, Suite 2105, Tiffin, Ohio.

Mail Payments

Payments may be mailed to 109 South Washington Street, Suite 2105, Tiffin, Ohio 44883. Please mail your payments early! Closing date postmarks will be accepted but it
is your responsibility to make sure that your payment has an acceptable postmark.

If the amount of the tax bill is not paid or, if mailed, is not postmarked with Post Office cancellation on or before the due date, a penalty and possible interest will be added to the amount due pursuant to Ohio Revised Code 323.123.

Credit Card payments

Each individual taxpayer, if he or she wishes, may take advantage of Visa, Master Card, American Express or Discover card to make payment on taxes. There will be assessed to the taxpayers credit card at the time of transaction a service fee of 2.75%. This convenience fee is charged by the credit card service provider, Point and Pay and is not charged by Seneca County or the Seneca County Treasurer's office.

The listing below shows examples of the cost to the taxpayer using credit cards to make payment. A service fee of 2.75% with a minimum fee of $2.00 will be assessed to any Visa, Master Card, or Discover Card transactions processed for tax payment.

  $500 payment = $13.75*
  $750 payment = $20.63*
$1000 payment = $27.50*


Credit Card payments may be taken in the Seneca County Treasurer's office or may be made online.

There is a service fee of 2.75% of the total for Credit Card payments, Electronic Check Payments are $3.00 and $10.00 for a payment over $10,000.00 , and $3.95 for the VISA Debit for Tax Charge. If a debit card is used then it will be treated as a Credit Card and the Credit Card Fee will apply of 2.75% unless the Visa Debit for Tax is selected from the drop down box. There will be no refunds by the Seneca County Treasurer’s Office for the payment of any fees after a payment is submitted, it is the payers responsibility to verify the amount of the additional fee based on their choice of payment options prior to submitting their payment.

Payments by Telephone

Taxpayers may also make a payment over the telephone to pay their real estate taxes or to make a real estate tax payment twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. The telephone number to make a telephone payment is 866-271-3838. There is a service fee of 2.75% with a minimum fee of $2.00 of the total for Credit Card payments, $3.00 for ACH or E-check Payments, and $3.95 for Debit Card charges.

Please return bills wrongfully sent and provide us with correct names and addresses. Failure to receive a bill does not excuse failure or delay in payment of your taxes.

The Treasurer's Office makes every effort to mail all tax bills to the party responsible for payment. It is the obligation of the taxpayer to obtain the property bill(s) if not received in the mail. Failure to receive a tax bill does not excuse your failure to pay, nor does it relieve a taxpayer of the mandatory penalty and/or interest imposed by law.

Please notify the Treasurer's Office of any change in mailing address. There is a space provided for this purpose on your return envelope.

Remember to read the important information on the reverse side of your tax bill. Delinquent Payment Plans are available. Your delinquent balance can be paid off in installments while keeping your current tax paid. Please contact our office for additional information.
